Summary of Duties Our Registered Nurses are responsible for all professional nursing duties as required. They enforce policy regarding storage and inventory of sample medications, use of sharps containers, and medical waste management. Nurses provide group and individual treatment, develop treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, and formulate diagnostic impressions while adhering to basic nursing standards and all NYS licensing standards.
Responsibilities
Administer and document injection of medications.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all case notes.
Conduct health screens annually for all program recipients.
Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, glucose, pulse, weight, etc.).
Develop assessments, treatment plans, and diagnostic reviews on a scheduled basis.
Assist in linkage to other community resources.
May supervise student interns.
Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school and four (4) years of paid work experience as a professional nurse, with at least three (3) years in a mental health setting.
OR Bachelor’s degree in professional nursing with at least one (1) year of paid work experience in a mental health setting and current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse.
A valid NYS driver’s license.
Automobile in good working order.
Valid inspection and automobile insurance.
