Speech Language Pathologist
TriStar Centennial Medical Center is recruiting a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This position focuses on patient‑centered care, enabling patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments to achieve their goals.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Conduct subjective assessments of patients’ speech and language abilities during spontaneous conversation.
Administer objective tests to assess patients’ communication assets and liabilities.
Design and implement individualized patient programs to improve communication.
Evaluate patients regularly during treatment and adjust programs as needed.
Document progress in inpatient chart, completing notes, charges, discharge notes, and patient communication.
Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre‑screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Speech Pathologist license.
Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
