Essential Functions
Ability to create and maintain backstage paperwork including show run sheets, preset lists, check in/out sheets, and any other documents requested by Shop Supervisor both physically and digitally
Will have no dedicated track or cues in order to shadow all hair/makeup tracks and act as a swing as needed
Lead the on-going inspection of every wig/facial hairpiece to identify repairs and maintain integrity of design.
Overseeing the crew's wig pre-sets and show tracks.
Create and maintain an inventory document of all needed items for run of shows
Maintain flexible schedule for work calls especially during tech weeks
Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment
Adhere to/enforce all rules and regulations required by the Actor's Equity Association
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities
At least 4 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a wig/makeup crew member or equivalent educational experience
Demonstrated knowledge of/and experience in a variety of wig styles and maintenance techniques
Ability to adequately operate Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive for paperwork creation
Working knowledge of hand and machine stitching techniques
Ability to wash, block, roller set, and style wigs
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced and high pressure environment
Must be able to run short distances and use stairs both while carrying a basket
Must be able to stand length of show
Ability to lift 20 lbs
Ability to ventilate and re-front wigs is a huge plus
Housing is available at $50 per week.
This is an IATSE represented position, but you do not have to be an IATSE member to apply.
Production Dates: April 6- October 31, 2026
Salary/Rate: $25.50/hour
2026 Production shows include Les Miserables, Finding Nemo, and Grease.
