Position Summary
As the Wig Maintenance Crew, you'll be collaborating with the rest of the Costume Maintenance team to keep all the costume elements maintained. Your responsibilities will include inspection, repair, cleaning, and restyling of wigs per the guidance of the Wig Shop Supervisor and Hair and Makeup Crew Lead.
Essential Functions
Basic wig repair
Wig washing/cleaning
Wig blocking and styling (E.g. Roller sets and styles)
Ability to work with performers and staff in a positive and professional manner while on campus at all times
Ability to listen, take instruction, and to participate in a team to complete the assigned tasks
Clean and maintain all spaces daily
Ability to work outside in a desert climate
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities
Google Suite (Primarily Google Sheets and Docs)
Ability to lift 30 lbs
Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment
Adhere to all rules and regulations required by the Actor's Equity Association (AEA) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
Preferred: at least 2 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a wig/makeup crew member or equivalent educational experience.
Housing is available at $50 per week.
This is an IATSE represented position, but you do not have to be an IATSE member to apply.
Production Dates: April 13- October 31, 2026
Salary/Rate: $21/hour
2026 Production shows include Les Miserables, Finding Nemo, and Grease.
