Machine Builder, Calvary Robotics – Webster, NY, United States
The Machine Builder will perform all mechanical tasks in the sub‑assembly, system level assembly, debug, teardown, and install efforts of complex automated systems. The role requires adherence to Calvary Standard Build Processes and cross‑functional collaboration to maintain quality, schedule, and budget across all projects.
Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical components in sub‑assembly and system assembly.
Read, interpret, and review blueprints and models.
Prioritize assembly tasks to maintain daily and overall schedules.
Perform basic machining tasks (e.g., grinding, milling) to support project build.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Take forward‑planning control, ensuring all necessary items are available ahead of time.
Perform rigging and shipping tasks, including planning.
Work toward daily and overall milestones to meet project schedules and budgets.
Take ownership and accountability for all efforts.
Participate cross‑functionally in planning and execution of all project tasks.
Maintain, update, and communicate all relevant documentation.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Be willing to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
Be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
Experience building automated systems is preferred.
Expertise in the use of hand tools and basic machining.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and models.
Experience using measuring equipment (tape, micrometers, etc.).
Strong communication skills with project teams.
Salary The hourly rate for this role is $26.00 – $32.00 per hour. Calvary Robotics considers experience, education, training, and key skills when finalizing compensation.
