Job Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payment of accounts and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for details.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage all accounts payable transactions according to company procedures.
Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and subcontractors.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Resolve invoice, lien waiver or contract discrepancies, ensuring vendor and subcontractor queries are dealt with promptly.
Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring that all accounts are current and correct.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and budgeting.
Access financial information to answer general inquiries related to specific accounts.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years’ accounting experience, a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in accounts payable or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of lien-waiver procedures.
Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work well under pressure.
