PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE I (16 years of age or older)
Duties
Prepares & maintains city ball fields, medians, & public facilities.
Performs manual labor in the care, minor construction & maintenance of facilities & outdoor spaces.
Maintains ball fields including watering, top dressing, weed removal, painting, fence repair, dirt work & related duties.
Provides custodial services including cleaning & repairing floors, restrooms, & removal of trash.
Administers basic first aid, if needed.
Responds in emergency situations within scope of training.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
Eighth grade graduate.
CPR & First Aid certifications desired.
Experience
Work experience in general landscape & grounds maintenance desired.
Mulching, weeding, leaf removal & other general light duty work.
Ability to perform work using non-powered hand tools utilized in landscape maintenance & repair work.
Equipment
Non-powered hand tools, leaf blowers, Linelazer equipment.

Applies practices relating to safe equipment operation & maintenance.
