Aeronautical Subsystem Installation Design Engineer - Level 2
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics seeks a full‑time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) supporting the F‑16 and F‑22 platforms in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise to develop solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems. Responsibilities
Design the installation of aircraft equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for fuel, hydraulic, and environmental control systems; design installation of aircraft fluid routing and bracketry. Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives to optimize form, fit, and function of equipment installations. Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts, systems, and harness interfaces. Create build‑to‑packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations. Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials and processes, stress, etc.). Qualifications
Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting. Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting. Experience with CATIA V5. Experience with metallic design. Experience creating and/or modifying drawings. Proficiency in CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Must be a U.S. Citizen; position requires a government security clearance. Location requires special access. Additional Information
