Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic - Clackamas, OR
Base pay range : $20.46/hr - $31.97/hr
Work Schedule :
2nd shift 3pm to 11pm, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day
3rd shift/graveyard 10pm to 6:30am, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day
For either role, may be required to work at least one weekend day and overtime
In a Union environment, the role includes potential night, weekend, holiday shifts during probation and flexibility across plant areas.
Role Responsibilities
Observe all company safety policies, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices
Lockout/Tagout procedures
Identify complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic problems, review information, develop and implement solutions
Diagnose mechanical problems, check blueprints, repair manuals, parts catalogs
Dismantle and reassemble machines as needed
Perform preventative maintenance per schedule
Maintain equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
Respond to maintenance requests, complete maintenance reports
Work with vendors/contractors, order spare parts/services
Train others to operate equipment safely
Maintain organization of spare parts, clean and organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Complete special projects and duties as assigned
Continuously monitor and inspect production equipment
Rebuild/fabrication of equipment, welding mild and stainless steel
Complete work orders, maintain logs and records
Investigate electrical/instrument failures, develop action plans
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
Provide mechanical maintenance information via questions/requests
Other duties within the scope of the role
Role Requirements
18 years of age or older
High School diploma or equivalent
At least 2+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair
Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
Ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, blueprints
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, turn frequently
Manual dexterity, coordination, and good balance
Team player, safety priority, pride in work, community minded
LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
