Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in food production, is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic Location: Clackamas, OR Pay Range: $31.97 Shift: 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm, five days a week) or 3rd shift (10pm to 6:30am, five days a week). Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required during the probationary period. What's the Job?
Observe and adhere to all safety policies, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices.
Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues on plant equipment.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery to ensure optimal operation.
Rebuild/fabrication of equipment
Welding mild and stainless steel
Complete work orders
Maintain logs and records
Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role
Perform preventative maintenance and respond promptly to maintenance requests to maximize equipment efficiency.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills.
Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and maintain good coordination and balance.
LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
