Matix is searching for a
Structural Engineer
with direct experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical plant design. This position will create designs for new projects and alterations and help prepare construction documents for various projects. It may also include preparing studies, cost estimates, and project management.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Performs calculations by ASCE 7, IBC, and related standards for structures.
Excellent interpretation of complex civil and structural designs.
Ability to help develop engineering cost estimates.
Collects and prepares data/information and generates design and detail drawings.
Helps in fieldwork, checking installations, and can problem solve during construction activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in structural engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Minimum 3 years experience in designing steel and concrete structures such as buildings, towers, pipe racks, and foundations.
Excellent skills using AutoCAD software. Knowledge of other software such as Advance Steel, Revit, and RISA 3D is a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate technical solutions effectively.
Progressive knowledge of codes and standards
