Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced HVAC professional to join our team as a Special Projects Lead Tech.
Position Summary Assist with and oversee installation, startup, and commissioning of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment and serve as a lead for special projects training and development.
Specific Job Duties
Understanding of Air-to-air DX systems – split and package rooftop systems from 1–25 tons.
Understanding of VRF multizone systems up to 30 tons.
Understanding of hydronic systems – heat pumps, scroll or screw chillers, pumps, tanks, etc., systems up to 50 tons minimum.
Understanding of hydronic piping systems for hot water, chilled water, condenser water, and installation skills.
Sheet metal design knowledge with ability to produce drawings for fabrication and installation skills.
Understanding of refrigeration piping systems, ability to size piping from manufacturer requirements.
Understanding of light commercial low‑voltage control systems and diagnostic skills.
Physical Requirements
Work outside in all weather conditions.
Work at heights, climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs., carry up to 25 lbs., stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl in tight spaces.
Work within confined spaces.
Communicate effectively with employees and customers.
Use hands to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school, trade school graduate, or GED.
Journeyman license preferred.
Universal Refrigerant certificate.
OSHA 10‑hour certification required; additional training may be required.
Leadership experience preferred.
1 to 3 years’ experience in HVAC installation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various HVAC equipment.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy.
