Pay
$49,820 – $56,794.80 annually for General Education Teachers
$53,053 – $60,480.42 annually for Special Education Certified (SPED) Teachers

Primary Responsibilities Include
Demonstrate a student‑centered approach to instruction
Participate in a reflective professional development process
Meet the requirements of the IEP/Treatment Plan process by contributing to a data‑based present level of student performance, accommodations, modifications, transitional elements, and any other pertinent information
Integrate multi‑modality instructional approaches in lesson planning and delivery to meet diverse learning styles
Prioritize and promote a safe and secure learning environment through social–emotional learning
Collaborate formally and informally with Teaching Assistants, Occupation/Speech Therapists, Social Workers, Nursing, Behavior Specialists, and school leaders regarding student and teacher supports
Implement PBIS campus approaches (5:1 praise to corrective feedback ratio, skill development focus, varied approaches based on behavior level) with high fidelity
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required (Master’s preferred)
Connecticut teaching certificate or eligibility to obtain one
Three years of experience in education preferred
Special education degree and experience preferred
