Responsibilities
Assess patient needs in both inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting tailored treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
Implement specific physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality.
Work collaboratively alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to achieve exemplary patient outcomes.
Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge logistics, and home exercise regimens.
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress, adhering to both facility policies and regulatory standards.
Engage in interdisciplinary care team discussions and rounds to promote coordinated patient care.
Education Requirements
An earned Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
State licensure as a PT / Physical Therapist.
CPR certification preferred.
Specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric) are a bonus but not mandatory.
Qualifications
A strong foundation of previous experience in the field is highly preferred.
