Responsibilities Under minimal supervision, provide professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse’s competencies following established standards and practices. Support the mission statement, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course
Certifications & Licensure
REQUIRED: Texas State License for Registered Nurse (current) and state board certification
PREFERRED: CNOR Board eligible/certified, Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified, GI Lab – SGNA Board eligible/certified
REQUIRED COURSE COMPLETIONS:
BLS – Must have active AHA Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support within 60 days of hire
ACLS – Must have AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all surgical services
PALS – Must have AHA PALS within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for post anesthesia care unit
