Job Purpose And Summary Within our Retail locations, we bring this promise to life with heart every day. Pharmacist Technicians support the pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers, delivering an exceptional experience. They apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices and effective communication to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately. Through rigorous company training and compliance with State Board of Pharmacy guidelines, they contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where all people feel valued and empowered.

Responsibilities

Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.

Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.

Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations and other services, and resolving or escalating patient problems.

Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks and waiting bin inventories as directed by pharmacy leadership.

Embrace a growth mindset, actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge, and be receptive to feedback.

Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to stores across the market if required.

Understand and comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, professional standards and ethical principles, ensuring patient privacy, controlled substance compliance and proper record‑keeping.

Deliver additional patient health services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics, where allowable by law and supported by training.

Immunization Support (When Permissible)

Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status for preparing and administering vaccines.

Educate patients about vaccination importance and refer questions to the pharmacist‑on‑duty.

Monitor and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements.

Review, collect and document patient information for each applicable patient.

Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.

Required Qualifications

Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education and licensure/certification.

If the state board does not mandate a minimum age, must be at least 16 years old.

If the state board does not mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program.

Communication Skills: Use verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues.

Use active listening and ask questions when appropriate.

Mathematical Reasoning: Use math to solve problems such as determining the total number of tablets, day’s supply, or bottles needed for a prescription.

Problem Resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action from multiple options.

Physical Demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods.

Lift, scan and bag items.

Reach overhead, stretch or reach out with arms and/or legs.

Move fingers repetitively (typing, picking, pinching).

Extend hand(s) and arm(s) to place, move or lift items.

Control precision to adjust machines accurately.

Stoop to a considerable degree, using lower extremities and back muscles.

Have close visual acuity for transcription, computer use, reading and small part inspection.

Lifting or exerting up to 20 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force consistently.

Express or exchange ideas verbally where detailed instructions are needed.

Receive detailed instructions orally.

Other tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs.

Time Type Full time

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $17.00 – $27.00

This range is the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
