We are seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our Pastry team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of high-quality baked goods, including sourdough, loaves, Viennoiserie, other breakfast pastries and specialty items, while maintaining inventory levels, and following provincial food safety standards. This role requires advanced bread baking techniques, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Prepare, bake, and finish a wide range of breads, pastries, and specialty items. Develop and test new recipes, seasonal offerings, and product improvements. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, appearance, and portion size. Manage daily production schedules to meet customer demand, minimize waste, and meet established quality standards and compliance with food safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and production levels. Clean and restock workstations and sanitize equipment to maintain a safe, organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with management on menu planning, production goals and cost control. Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience as a baker or in a bakery environment. Availability to work overnight/3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m., subject to change). Previous experience in a fast-paced environment. Motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow. All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in Canada.
