Description At ACCESS San Fernando Valley, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, we provide emergency, critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, and surgery services for pets. Our team of over 400 clinics offers unparalleled resources and support to foster professional growth and a strong culture of teamwork.

We are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our swing shift team and deliver end‑to‑end patient care, from outpatient treatments to surgical support.

Role Responsibilities

Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and advocate for pets.

Assist in maintaining proper patient flow and productivity across all hospital functions.

Help with surgeries and procedures according to state Veterinary Practice Act requirements.

Communicate with clients about pet health concerns, Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.

Maintain accurate, comprehensive medical records using practice systems.

Obtain and update client health history and maintain medical charts.

Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs sterile and organized.

Mentor and support fellow team members as needed.

Experience & Skills Requirements

Veterinary technician licensure preferred.

2–3 years of clinical experience.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent education, training, and experience providing required knowledge and skills.

Compensation $20–$36/hr based on experience/skills assessment plus shift differentials.
