Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pre/Post-Operative Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. This role is essential in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients before and after surgical or procedural interventions. Responsibilities

Performs comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including medical history review, medication reconciliation, and patient education.

Prepares patients for procedures by verifying consent, initiating IV access, administering medications as ordered, and ensuring readiness for surgery.

Provides post-operative monitoring and recovery care, assessing vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient condition.

Identifies and responds to post-operative complications, escalating concerns appropriately and following clinical protocols.

Educates patients and families on post-operative care, medications, activity restrictions, and discharge instructions.

Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care.

Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Ensures compliance with safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with experience in pre/post‑op, PACU, outpatient surgery, ICU, or procedural settings preferred.

Current BLS certification required.

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a team‑based, patient-centered environment.
