Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Cornell 3 – our MedSurg Unit! This is a Flexi‑day shift position (12‑hour) in Charlottesville, VA. One of the best staffed Medical/Surgical units in the state! Cornell 3 is a 24‑bed medical‑surgical unit focused on gastrointestinal care, addressing conditions like gallbladder diseases, appendicitis, bowel obstructions, and procedures such as colon resections and ostomy creation. The unit also cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory issues, and diabetes complications, maintaining a patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 for personalized care. It is an ideal environment for both experienced nurses and new graduates seeking skill development. Cornell 3 promotes a collaborative atmosphere with a multidisciplinary team and supports professional growth, blending the resources of a major medical center with a community hospital’s warmth, aiming to make a meaningful difference in patient lives.
