Supervising Attorney – Legal Services

Salary: $12,590.00 – $16,900.00 per month (minimum $13,975).

Job Summary This position qualifies for a "Hire Above Minimum" (HAM) salary. The starting salary will be $13,975. The incumbent is a supervising attorney responsible for overseeing the Legal Services unit under the direction of the Assistant General Counsel for Legal Services. Employees may receive a 5% salary increase annually based on performance evaluation. In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This position is subject to PLP 2025, with a 4.62% monthly base pay reduction in exchange for 8 hours of leave credits; the salary ranges shown do not reflect the reduced amounts.
Responsibilities The Attorney Supervisor assists the Assistant General Counsel in supervising, assigning, planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, reviewing, and monitoring the work of staff in the Legal Services unit. The incumbent handles the most difficult and complex legal matters and confers with the Assistant General Counsel and management on policy and procedures as they relate to Legal Services.
