Position: Registered Nurse, PCU
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
Shift hours/Contract Length: 7p-7a, 13 weeks
Charting: EPIC experience required
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission
Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.
Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. Locals accepted for LPN's
REQUIRED LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS
Pending License Accepted: No, Must have an active New York Single State RN license. (NY is not Compact)
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
Telemetry and Stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC)
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response; Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
Nasal cannula; Oxygen administration; Non-invasive airway management
Manage cardiac drips (no titration); Blood product administration
Central line care/management; Peripheral line care/management
IV therapy/phlebotomy; Isolation precautions
UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING
Ratios: 1:4-5; Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: long term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery, any surgical procedures that need step down level of care.
Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
