As a Systems Engineer I, you will be part of our project and system engineering team driving design, development, integration, and qualification of Valve and Start Systems leading programs within the Engine Controls product portfolio. You will be the technical leader and primary decision maker for technical issues. You will lead prioritization of design goals and objectives and drive overall requirements verification and validation process throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Requirements Management
System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
Control architecture and design
Physics based model development and system design
Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
Mechanical Systems validation & verification
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
0-2 years of Engineering experience in Aerospace Systems or a similar industry
WE VALUE
Strong familiarity with MATLAB and Excel
Strong familiarity in engineering physics, mechanics, and fluid dynamics and thermodynamic principles
Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
Leadership Skills — specifically decision making, driving results, and bias for action
Persuasion to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
Experience with Pneumatic Systems, products and controls (Engine Valves, Start Systems, ECS systems)
Understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers
Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration a plus
Experience with systems requirement flow down
Experience with DOORs or DOORS Next Gen
Experience with ELM
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience with systems requirement V&V
