GENERAL SUMMARY
The Universal Banker I, II, III position is responsible for providing exceptional client service, handling teller transactions, new account opening, branch operational duties, and assisting the Lobby Services Manager in the sales and profitability of the branch. Universal Banker I, II, III promotes products and services and constantly finds ways to generate new business and deepen existing relationships. This position will work closely with the Lobby Services Manager to establish work efficiencies and focus on maintaining a passing rating on all audit requirements. Requires a high degree of initiative, multi‑task, discretion, and good judgement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides an exceptional service and handles all requests in a professional and timely manner.
Knowledgeable in all Teller Operations which include but are not limited to accurately processing teller deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, payments, negotiable instruments.
Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of currency and coins, balances cash drawer and vault according to established schedule and performance standards.
Knowledgeable in all bank products and services not limited to checking, savings, MMA, CD, IRA, safe deposit, debit cards, online and mobile banking to promote branch growth goals.
Maintain current knowledge of the bank’s new account opening procedure, documentation required to open accounts and staying in compliance with all requirements.
Attention to detail when performing all retail operational duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
Accept and process transaction deposits including ATM and night deposits including balancing the ATM.
Accurately process all types of payments including but limited to loans, safe deposit, and tax payments.
Perform wire requests, change of address, stop payments, online and mobile banking requests, debit card orders, check orders, cashier checks, Reg CC holds, account maintenance and other related duties.
Responsible for the overall branch operations and maintains a satisfactory audit.
Review analytic reports on branch operations tasks but not limited to NSF, charge off accounts, new accounts, zero balance, closed accounts, maintenance, safe deposit, etc.
Clear any exceptions in a timely manner relating to all Teller Operations and New Accounts.
Understand and adhere to bank’s authority transaction limits when approving transactions.
Use good judgment when conducting any type of transaction to mitigate and reduce any bank loss by following proper procedures and stay alert on any suspicious activity.
Attain knowledge of all bank products and services to promote based on client’s banking needs.
Participate in community and professional relationship activities to benefit the bank.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor not limited to monitoring New Online Account opening, CD interest check payments, mobile deposit monitoring, clearing branch exceptions.

Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/CIP Program (BSA/AML/CIP Program)

Ability to understand and explain all retail products and services to promote bank products and services, respond to customer inquiries and make referrals to other departments.
Ability to understand and operate retail computer systems and applications.
Intermediate oral and interpersonal skills with ability to recognize and respond to sales opportunities.
Ability to pay close attention to detail to prevent any monetary loss or negative client experience.
Attain a sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferably a college degree.
Minimum 3 years of cash handling experience in retail or banking.
