OCRST Program Coordinator (Open Rank) University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Cancer Center – Position #38627.

Position Summary Provide comprehensive program support to the Cancer Center and the Oncology Clinical Research Support Team (OCRST), ensuring all activities are planned, organized and executed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize and coordinate Cancer Center events and program activities, including Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) Incubator and IIT Committee meetings. (30%)

Track the progression of upcoming events and develop updates as needed.

Prepare agendas, organize meetings, take minutes, coordinate presenters, document reviews and approvals, and disseminate decisions. Create and maintain tracking and reporting tools for Cancer Center and OCRST meetings. (40%)

Provide office‑related procurement services, ensuring budget adherence and vendor management for administrative groups.

Oversee and direct publication of the quarterly Principal Investigator (PI) and Clinical Research Newsletters.

Manage operational needs of the OCRST Program, serving as the primary contact for OCRST initiatives with internal and external partners.

Maintain the CU Cancer Center internal research resource website. (10%)

Provide administrative support to the Associate Director of Clinical Research, Deputy Associate Director, and OCRST leadership. (20%)

Additional Duties – Intermediate

Independently manage logistics and finances of Cancer Center events, including sponsored external events, conferences, meetings, and recruitment visits.

Develop creative materials such as PowerPoint presentations, web pages, and other communication materials.

Create and maintain tracking and reporting tools for IIT, LAPS/NCTN, CSRN, Finance, ORIEN, and Data Quality Programs within OCRST.

Serve as administrative lead for Flatiron partnership: develop workflows, maintain guidance documents, track project progression, and ensure contractual compliance.

Additional Duties – Senior

Provide direct operational support to Cancer Center senior leadership.

Assist Principal Investigators (PIs) with IRB submissions for Flatiron Explore projects.

Independently facilitate process‑improvement projects for OCRST and the Cancer Center.

Work Location Hybrid – 3 days per week on campus with additional in‑person meetings as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, research, communications, accounting, finance, social sciences, marketing or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience: One year of relevant administrative support in an academic, healthcare or business environment.

Education/experience substitution policy: substitute one year of experience for one year of education.

Preferred Qualifications

Project management experience.

Proficiency with University of Colorado finance systems (PeopleSoft, Concur, Marketplace).

Experience with Microsoft Office suite and Smartsheet.

Experience in an academic medical setting and as a program coordinator.

Experience with web content management systems (Sitefinity, HubSpot).

Experience coordinating schedules, meetings and events.
