We are a fast-growing cyber defense contractor in San Antonio, TX, seeking a
Intermediate Business Analyst
independently manage recurring corporate reporting deliverables and oversee travel and expense operations. This role requires strong judgment, advanced Microsoft application skills, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fully remote environment while regularly interfacing with senior leadership.

Independently review, format, finalize, and submit monthly technical status reports
Own the preparation and quality assurance of monthly financial deliverables, including: Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSR)
Financial Management and Hourly Expenditure Reports (FMHER)
Ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and professional presentation of all deliverables
Coordinate inputs and resolve discrepancies with program managers and leadership
Manage the end‑to‑end travel and expense process using Unanet
Serve as the primary point of contact for all travel‑and‑expense‑related questions
Ensure compliance with company policy and government contract requirements
Identify trends, issues, or process improvements and recommend solutions
Maintain and improve reporting templates and workflows
Manage Microsoft Lists used for tracking and reporting
Utilize advanced Microsoft Word and Excel features to improve efficiency and quality
Support continuous improvement of corporate operations processes
Interface regularly with senior management, program managers, and staff
Communicate clearly and professionally regarding deadlines, corrections, and requirements
Exercise discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive information
3–7+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or support role
Advanced Microsoft Word (styles, sections, master/sub‑documents)
Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, protected sheets, print‑ready formatting)
Experience managing Microsoft Lists or similar data tracking tools
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines independently
Ability to work remotely with guidance and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Must be able to work under pressure and prioritize competing assignments with tight deadlines in environments with frequent interruptions
Demonstrate a personal commitment and drive to meet or exceed objectives
Be self‑motivated, organized, and capable of proactively identifying, sourcing, and handling multiple initiatives at one given time to successful completion
Be a team player and willing to work in a fast paced, fluid environment
Experience with travel and expense processing
Exposure to government contracting or regulated environments
Experience using Unanet or Microsoft Lists
Experience supporting senior leadership or executives
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to pass background checks for work on government contracts
This role is not well suited for candidates who require daily task lists, close supervision, or highly structured workdays.
