General Description We are a fast-growing cyber defense contractor in San Antonio, TX, seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support recurring corporate reporting and day-to-day operational processes. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to grow into greater ownership of corporate operations.
You will support reporting deliverables, process travel and expenses, and serve as a point of contact for employees—while learning how corporate operations function in a government-contracting environment.

Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, review, and formatting of monthly technical status reports
Support the preparation and quality review of monthly financial deliverables, including Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSR) and Financial Management and Hourly Expenditure Reports (FMHER)
Ensure reports adhere to established templates and formatting standards
Maintain version control and documentation consistency
Process travel authorizations, reimbursements, and expense reports in Unanet
Review submissions for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance
Respond to employee questions related to travel and expense procedures
Escalate discrepancies or policy exceptions as appropriate
Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lists to support reporting and operational tracking
Update records, lists, and basic templates as directed
Assist with maintaining organized electronic files and documentation
Communicate professionally with employees, program staff, and managers
Coordinate with supervisors to ensure deadlines are met
Support senior staff with ad hoc operational requests
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in an administrative, operations, or support role
Experience with recurring reporting or standardized deliverables preferred
Experience processing travel or expense reports preferred
Experience creating Microsoft Word documents (styles, sections, master/sub‑documents)
Experience creating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (formulas, protected sheets, print‑ready formatting)
Experience managing Microsoft Lists or similar data tracking tools
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through
Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines
Ability to work remotely with guidance and meet deadlines
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing assignments with tight deadlines in environments with frequent interruptions
Demonstrate a personal commitment and drive to meet or exceed objectives
Be self‑motivated, organized, and capable of proactively identifying, sourcing, and handling multiple initiatives at one given time to successful completion
Be a team player and willing to work in a fast‑paced, fluid environment
Exposure to government contracting or regulated environments
Experience using Unanet and/or Microsoft Lists
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to pass background checks for work on government contracts
Additional Notes This role is not well suited for candidates who require daily task lists, close supervision, or highly structured workdays.
