Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing environment for young learners.
Duties
Provide a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers ages 18–36 months.
Plan and implement daily activities that support social‑emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Maintain compliance with OCFS regulations and center policies.
Establish consistent routines and guide children through transitions.
Lead the classroom and support assistant teachers with daily responsibilities.
Communicate effectively with families regarding child progress and classroom updates.
Foster a warm, engaging atmosphere that encourages exploration, independence, and early learning.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
CDA in Infant/Toddler (required if degree is not held).
Experience working in a licensed child care center with toddlers (18–36 months).
Prior experience leading a classroom or serving as a lead or co‑lead teacher.
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
Ability to create and follow lesson plans that support toddler learning and growth.
Knowledge of OCFS regulations and health/safety requirements.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to maintain a positive, patient, and nurturing classroom environment.
