Analytical Scientist
for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in
Indianapolis, IN . Details for the position are as follows:
Pay: $40-45/hr.
12-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
Responsibilities
Execute pre-clinical research and development activities, including experimental design, testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and data interpretation to support product and process development.
Plan and perform complex laboratory studies applying advanced scientific principles across analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, biosensors, in-vitro diagnostics, and biomedical engineering.
Generate, analyze, and interpret data to support formulation development, analytical method development, and feasibility assessments for novel technologies.
Evaluate and test emerging technologies as part of Research and Early Development scouting initiatives within the Diagnostics portfolio, including Diabetes Care.
Maintain current knowledge of state-of-the-art scientific theories, methodologies, and industry trends to inform research strategies and innovation.
Independently identify technical objectives, risks, and alternative solutions, contributing to sound decision-making and project advancement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, and other stakeholders to support project execution and strategic research decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences field with 5 years of relevant experience or Master of Science/PhD with 2 years of relevant experience
required
2+ years of experience in biomedical or analytical chemistry
required
2+ years of experience in the field of biosensors
highly preferred
Experience in biosensors, electrochemistry, and analytical chemistry applied to in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) and biomedical engineering
preferred
