Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to oversee accurate and compliant payroll operations for a growing organization. This role is ideal for a payroll subject matter expert who brings a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of payroll compliance, audits, and complex calculations. The Senior Payroll Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, supporting process improvements, and serving as a trusted resource for payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute end-to-end payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees, including regular payroll cycles and off-cycle payments.

Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy of wages, withholdings, deductions, and earnings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Perform detailed payroll reconciliations and analysis, including pay code and general ledger mapping.

Review and calculate payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, promotions, bonuses, and other compensation adjustments.

Partner with a third-party payroll provider to support payroll tax filings, quarterly reporting, and year-end processes.

Serve as a point of escalation for complex payroll issues and employee inquiries.

Maintain thorough documentation of payroll processes, calculations, and controls.

Participate in payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects.

Proactively identify opportunities for payroll audits, efficiency improvements, and enhanced compliance controls.

Qualifications & Skills:

Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and wage and hour requirements.

Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve payroll variances.

Experience with payroll systems, with a preference for ADP.

Demonstrated expertise in overtime calculations, lookback rules, and payroll reporting.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to present professionally to internal stakeholders.

High attention to detail, discretion, and a commitment to accuracy.
