Salary/Benefits:

Salary is between £27,717 and £32,515 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks:

37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

About the role We are currently seeking an Examinations Officer to join our Examinations department at The Bedford College Group.

As an Examinations Officer, you play an important role in the success of our students through the following:

Deliver Exams Administration Service – Provide full exams administration for students and staff, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations.

Coordinate Exam Processes – Schedule exams, prepare materials, arrange invigilators, and maintain secure handling of confidential papers.

Manage Results & Records – Dispatch results and certificates promptly, input achievement data accurately, and complete monthly checks.

Ensure Compliance & Communication – Advise staff on procedures, communicate exam details, and stay updated on regulations and ILR requirements.

Support College Standards – Uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and participate in training and development in line with TBCG policies.

About you

Essential Qualifications:

Maths and English at A*-C (or Level 2 equivalent) and a minimum of 5 GCSEs; strong IT skills including Excel and Word.

Administrative Expertise:

Proven experience in office-based administration, data entry, and handling confidential documentation with accuracy.

Organisational & Customer Service Skills:

Excellent communication, planning, and ability to work calmly under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Adaptable & Team-Oriented:

Demonstrates flexibility, embraces change, and contributes positively to team objectives with a can-do attitude.

Compliance & Professional Standards:

Ability to follow regulations, safeguard exam integrity, transport papers securely, and maintain professionalism at all times.
