Senior Technical Recruiter - Program Lead (New Client Engagement)
Position Overview
The Project Scheduling Manager will be based in the company’s Richland, MS office and will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining companywide scheduling processes. This individual will serve as the long‑term owner and subject matter expert for scheduling standards, tools, and reporting. They will develop and oversee project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across all projects.
The Scheduling Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, estimators, and executive leadership to establish standardized scheduling practices that support data‑driven decision‑making and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized scheduling processes, templates, and reporting tools across all projects.
Create and manage detailed, resource‑loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring integration with cost and performance data.
Lead and supervise a team of schedulers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
Ensure adherence to company scheduling standards and compliance with contract‑specific requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external project teams to integrate and align project schedules.
Facilitate schedule review meetings and progress reporting sessions with project teams and stakeholders.
Evaluate and analyze schedule data to identify risks, logic issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with leadership to evaluate and enhance scheduling systems, tools, and processes for long‑term efficiency and consistency.
Provide training and ongoing support to project managers, coordinators, and field personnel in scheduling best practices.
Ensure schedule data aligns with project controls and corporate reporting standards.
Adhere to all internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience, industry training, or a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Minimum 7 years of experience using Primavera P6 / P6 Enterprise, including schedule development, resource loading, and file management (MPP, XER, XLS), with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Hands‑on experience with both Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, with the ability to validate schedule data against field progress.
Experience leading scheduling teams and implementing companywide scheduling standards.
Experience collaborating with large, diverse, and remote project teams.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret and evaluate schedule data against project progress and performance metrics.
High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Proactive problem‑solving and process improvement mindset.
Proven ability to train and mentor staff in scheduling practices and software tools.
Preferred
Experience managing scheduling functions across multiple concurrent construction projects.
Travel Requirements
Travel: Yes
Percent of Time: Up to 50%
Physical Qualifications
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time while working on a computer or in meetings.
Ability to travel to project sites, client offices, or other business locations as needed.
Ability to safely lift up to 20 lbs occasionally (e.g., carrying a laptop bag, luggage, project documents, equipment, etc.).
