Job Description Trauma, Acute Care Surgery Advanced Practice Provider- Night Surgical ICU Position Job Summary The Acclaim Multi‑Specialty Group is currently seeking a dynamic ACNP/AGACNP/PA to join our Night Shift Trauma Division with JPS Health Network. JPS Health Network is the leader in trauma care for Tarrant County. Our trauma center has received Level I verification and designation – making JPS the only Level I Trauma Center in Tarrant County. This designation means no other hospital in Tarrant County can handle trauma patients better than JPS.
Our dedication to superior trauma care is critical to the health of Tarrant County. We know trauma is the leading cause of death for those under the age of 44 (source: CDC). That is why we have committed more resources than any other local hospital to saving the lives of trauma victims.
The qualified candidate will be joining a practitioner team of 12. Our position offers collaboration between attending physicians, practitioner peers and autonomy within your scope of practice. We are open to new grads with a desire to work in a fast‑paced, team environment. There is no operating room time, and some nights and weekends are required.
The Physician is responsible for administering and interpreting all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations within the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This position will also educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments; may also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's healthcare provider.

Duties and Essential Job Functions
Coordinates the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize patient care.
Reviews patient medical charts to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families.
Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary.
Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group.
Provides evidence‑based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient centered and patient valued behavior.
Maintains a collaborative environment with other referring physicians, residents, clinical staff, and support staff to provide quality patient care.
Supports academic, educational and research endeavors.
Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process.
Partners and communicates with acumen to build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for those who encounter JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group. This would include health network staff, vendors, outside partners, patients, stakeholders, and local community leaders.
Serves as a resource to the community.
Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing OR Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
2 years of clinical experience preferred.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training
Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license (AGACNP/ACNP) with RNFA
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Education and Experience
Specialty training with ultrasound interpretation and procedures preferred
Specialty training with central lines, arterial lines and chest tube insertion preferred
