Position Description
Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in East Syracuse, NY.

Pay and Schedule Weekly pay: $1,536 or more. Pay breakdown:
Daily trip pay: $768.31 per trip (2 trips per week, occasional additional trips).
Per diem: $26.52 per night (2 nights per week).
Overnight stays in Ryder‑booked hotels.
Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days.
Paid training.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, start 6 AM.
Route and Equipment Delivery: NY, PA, MA, NH, ME. Tractor: Day‑cab. Trailer: 53‑ft dry van. Freight: Touch – flooring materials.
Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance; company drivers fuel the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age.
Pass Ryder drug test.
Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check with drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass DOT physical.
Pass Ryder road test.
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Must have class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or
2 years within the last 5 years, or
5 years within the last 10 years.
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Important Note Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification; motor‑vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to whom you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs.
Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by the customer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
