Position Description
Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Schenectady, NY. This is a full‑time, driver‑only position with a local home‑daily route.

Pay & Schedule
$2,135 per week
Hourly Pay: $30.50 per hour
Hours per week: 60
Paid training
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday
Dispatch start: 4:00–6:00 PM
Routes & Equipment
Destination: Piscataway, NJ & Buffalo, NY
Route type: Local Home Daily
Truck type: Day Cab
Trailer: 48′ Double
Freight: No‑touch – Paper Rolls
Endorsements required: Double endorsement

Paid personal time off starting day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year; unused balance paid at hourly rate

Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age
Pass Ryder drug screen, background and motor‑vehicle check (including prior employer verification for last 3 years) and DOT physical
Pass Ryder road test and provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
Class A truck experience: 9 months in last 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 years OR 5 years in last 10 years
Ability to follow written and oral instructions, read and apply laws and regulations
Title II required: No‑touch freight compliance
Important Note Additional screening may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle record checks, road test, and customer‑specific background or badge requirements.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency rules and guidelines
Identify and mitigate safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
Load/unload freight or assist with customer‑specific loading as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
