Site Safety Manager PCI is seeking a
Site Safety Manager
for its operations based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
Assist the branch with implementing and administering PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
Ensure that the company and client safety reports, statistics and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
Provide safety technical expertise and support to the branch.
Promote safety procedure and safe work practices.
Lead in the investigation of work‑related injuries, illnesses and near‑miss incidents.
Enforce corrective action to prevent the recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors.
Practice timely and accurate accident reporting.
Review all accidents and investigation reports.
Act as liaison between the company and client as it relates to site safety management.
Assist in identifying, correcting and mitigating routine and non‑routine safety and health hazards.
Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
Provide safety resources for workers.
Identify, anticipate and evaluate potential safety health hazards.
Conduct daily job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
Establish annual branch and project safety goals.
Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPO).
Requirements
Must have at least 3 years' experience working in construction safety
Must have a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, a related discipline, or comparable work experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
Strong customer service skills and an ability to build lasting client relationships
Must have critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and deadlines
Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities
General knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials used in the construction industry
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant regulations and construction safety standards
OSHA 500 certification
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Motivated self‑starter willing to take initiative
Demonstrated strong work ethic through internship or labor experience in the field
Positive attitude and ability to work in team environment
Work well under pressure and deadline
Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
Ability to plan and organize your day as well as assigned projects
Able to work with customers, building strong relationship
Ability to work with field leaders to develop safety solutions and mitigate field safety challenges
Preferred Credentials / Experience
Train the trainer – MEWP, Hazwoper, First Aid / CPR
Five (5) years of safety experience related to scaffold, industrial cleaning, asbestos abatement, interior systems, insulated metal panels, municipal cctv & cleaning, demolition, and insulation
OSHA certification
Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Training experience is preferred
