Job Overview
Clinical Social Worker (Health/Correctional Facility) – Kern Valley State Prison, Delano, Kern County, California. Salary: $8,678.00 – $10,569.00 per month. Permanent, Full‑time. Positions: Multiple.
Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility or the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, conduct assessments and summarize case information for diagnosis, treatment, and disposition.
Diagnose and collaborate in the formulation of clinical diagnoses.
Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Provide assessments, group therapy, and collateral conferences, and document and evaluate patients’ progress in treatment.
Coordinate placement with community resources and the Classification and Parole Representative.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
Master’s degree program from an accredited school of social work approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
Completion of the required examination (or eligibility for a waiver) as specified in the classification specification.
Meet all educational and licensing requirements described in the classification specification.
