Coordinator, Community Work and Learning and Collaborative Research
position within the
Community Work & Learning and Collaborative Research departments.
The Coordinator supports high‑impact learning opportunities for students of all degree levels through Community‑Engaged Learning (CEL) and Research and Creative Inquiry (RCI) courses. They also lead the university's efforts to engage students in voting and civic action.
Responsibilities
Support faculty in embedding Community‑Engaged Learning (CEL) in their courses, with a focus on The Reflective Woman first‑year seminar and other courses involving direct service work (approx. 50 courses/ year)
Facilitate students' direct service placements and troubleshoot issues as they arise to ensure a positive experience for students, faculty, and community partners
Deliver community‑engaged learning orientation and reflection for CEL courses
Assist with coordination of Research and Creative Inquiry (RCI) courses, including supporting the fall and spring research symposiums
Coordinate student employees supporting CEL and RCI work
Manage data associated with CEL and RCI courses using available systems
As designated "campus votes" staff member, ensure university fulfills Minnesota State campus voting requirements, including Get Out the Vote efforts, communications, implementation of civic action plan, and reporting
Collaborate with community partner organizations and other units on campus to facilitate co‑curricular direct service and civic engagement experiences for students
Carry out communications plan for CEL and RCI courses, and for CWL overall, by taking photos, creating social media and newsletter content, tabling, and other strategies determined by Associate Director

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree
Two (2) years experience in community engagement, higher education, and/or program coordination
Experience working collaboratively and effectively with diverse populations
Skills/ experience managing multiple projects with frequent interruptions
Creativity and problem solving skills
Proficiency in technology and relevant software, including but not limited to: Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
Understanding of and commitment to social justice, community/civic engagement, and the mission of St. Catherine University
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Three (3) or more years experience in community engagement, higher education, and/or program coordination
Knowledge of community‑engaged learning field and/or undergraduate research
Experience with diverse communities or organizations in the Twin Cities that provide services to diverse communities
Experience in higher education working with faculty, courses, or students

Compensation The salary range is $42,473.60 - $50,960 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary range listed reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
