Gardant is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services to provide leadership and operational support for clinical services across Gardant Communities. This role assists in the implementation, monitoring, & continuous improvement of clinical programs, regulatory compliance, quality assurance initiatives, & clinical best practices. The AVP of Clinical Services partners with regional & community leadership to ensure high‑quality, person‑centered, outcome‑driven care that aligns with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and Gardant’s mission.
Responsibilities
Supports the Senior Vice President of Operations in the execution of clinical strategy, initiatives, & regulatory compliance efforts across all communities
Assists in monitoring systemwide compliance with federal, state, & local regulations, including newly developed or evolving regulatory markets
Participates in the development, review, & implementation of clinical policies, procedures, standards, & governance documents based on best practices
Provides operational oversight & support to Regional Directors of Clinical Services, Clinical Specialists, Clinical Educators, & memory care leadership as assigned
Assists with the development, implementation, & monitoring of infection prevention & control programs in accordance with regulatory requirements
Quality assurance & performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives, including tracking key quality indicators, benchmarks, & outcomes
Collaborate with regional & community leaders to develop & monitor corrective action plans addressing audit findings, surveys, & compliance concerns
Coordination & delivery of clinical training programs for new & existing clinical leaders related to regulatory updates, policies, & procedures
Supports oversight of medication management systems in collaboration with partner pharmacies & electronic medical record (EMR) vendors
Participates in the review & analysis of resident transitions & discharges and supports initiatives designed to reduce avoidable transitions
Prepares & contributes to clinical reports & data summaries for executive leadership as requested
Maintains professional knowledge through ongoing education, industry resources, & participation in professional organizations
Participates in cross‑functional initiatives related to clinical quality, compliance, & risk management
Serves as a clinical resource & advisor to operations, sales, & community leadership teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in senior housing, assisted living, long‑term care, or healthcare operations
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; multi‑state licensure preferred or ability to obtain as needed
Demonstrated experience supporting regulatory compliance, quality programs, & clinical operations across multiple communities or regions
Equivalent combination of education, training, & experience may be considered
Strong knowledge of nursing practice, clinical operations, & state & federal regulations impacting senior living & assisted living
Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences
Strong analytical & problem‑solving skills with attention to detail & quality outcomes
Ability to support strategic initiatives while managing operational execution
Proficient with Microsoft Office, electronic health records (EHR), & related clinical & reporting systems
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to coach, mentor, & influence clinical teams
