is seeking an experienced and mission-driven

Director of Development

to lead and grow the Museum’s fundraising efforts. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports annual operations, capital initiatives, and long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Development will work closely with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, and community partners to identify, cultivate, steward, and expand relationships with individual donors, foundations, government entities, and corporate partners. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong relationship-builder, and collaborative leader who is passionate about advancing the Museum’s mission. Essential Functions:

Lead and manage all fundraising activities, including annual giving, major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and special initiatives Develop and implement targeted fundraising strategies to identify and secure new funding opportunities Manage an assigned portfolio of high-net-worth prospects and current donors, strengthening relationships and expanding giving opportunities Track, analyze, and report fundraising performance, major gifts, and development metrics for the CEO and Board of Directors Oversee donor services and record management, ensuring accurate data, gift tracking, acknowledgments, stewardship, and donor communications Partner with the CEO to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with Board members, including staff oversight and support of the Development Committee Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute fundraising communications, including direct mail, e-blasts, phone campaigns, and social media outreach Ensure compliance with all applicable fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and accountability requirements Other duties as assigned Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 3 years of professional fundraising experience Demonstrated success designing and managing development and donor relations programs Proven experience working closely with Board members, donors, and key stakeholders Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Compensation & Benefits:
