Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Job Summary The Shipping Supervisor oversees all daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate, timely, and safe order fulfillment. This role leads the Shipping and Receiving team, manages inventory movement, coordinates inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods shipments, and serves as the primary point of contact for logistics, order processing, and system support.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations.
Assign and oversee daily tasks for Shipping and Receiving staff.
Train new employees in the receiving area.
Duties/Responsibilities
Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and on‑time shipments.
Communicate inventory counts, discrepancies, and shortages to Management.
Coordinate with Purchasing to identify and request necessary warehouse and shipping supplies.
Communicate with the logistics Coordinator to schedule truckload, railcar, and FedEx overnight shipments.
Process and verify orders in Acumatica.
Confirm order ship dates and communicate any updates, delays, shortages, or split shipments to customers.
Manage back orders and reschedule shipments as needed.
Maintain COA and SDS documentation.
Manage and track blue‑bottom tote inventory and coordinate returns.
Assist with BOL requests for cylinders and return totes.
Schedule recycle trailer exchanges and vendor pickups.
Review and process RMAs and returned goods with QC procedures.
Maintain RMA and QC records.
Troubleshoot system issues and work with IT/ERP support.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce errors.
Ensure the team conducts daily forklift checks and monthly safety walks.
Monitor warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
Enforce safety rules and proper use of PPE.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
High school diploma or GED required.
10+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
3+ year’s experience with lead or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of freight classifications, NMFC codes, and carrier requirements preferred. (LTL, TL, parcel, rail). —

Experience using ERP systems; Acumatica experience strongly preferred.
Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams) and basic computer skills.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
State motor vehicle operator’s permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
