Senior Subcontract Administrator
to join our team in
Lexington, KY
for a
1-year contract-to-hire
opportunity. This position supports the
Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Sustainment Services (SOF GLSS)
program, providing critical logistics and sustainment support to multiple defense platforms. This role requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Required Skills
Extensive experience in
Government procurements
and
subcontract acquisitions
Comprehensive understanding of
FAR
and
DFAR
regulations
Strong background in
cost/price analysis, proposal evaluation, and negotiations
Experience managing subcontracts from
RFP through lifecycle completion
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with
Statements of Work (SOWs)
and contract administration best practices
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of
U.S. Department of Defense contract types
Experience with
SAP systems
Ability to establish new suppliers and manage supplier performance
Familiarity with
labor contracts
and competitive/non-competitive price agreements
Understanding of
Special Operations Forces (SOF)
environments
Experience leading
Subcontract Management Teams (SMTs)
and complex negotiations
Strong ability to communicate with executive leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
Manage subcontracts of varying complexity throughout their
entire lifecycle —from proposal to execution
Oversee
cost, schedule, and performance
compliance for assigned subcontracts
Implement supplier corrective actions and lead return-to-green efforts as needed
Provide regular status reports to senior and executive leadership
Collaborate with compliance teams to support internal and external audits
(Senior levels only) Mentor and serve as a subject-matter resource for complex subcontract efforts involving specification- and SOW-driven requirements
