Job Description – About the Role We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Inspector with hands‑on experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systems to support quality assurance across manufacturing, assembly, and service operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring components, systems, and serviced equipment meet engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of fluid power systems, the ability to interpret complex technical drawings, and experience operating within an ISO 9001–certified quality management system.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Quality Control – Perform incoming, in‑process, final, and service‑related inspections of pneumatic and hydraulic components and assemblies; verify conformance to engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and bills of material; inspect hoses, fittings, valves, cylinders, pumps, manifolds, and related components; utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and flow measurement devices; witness and document functional, pressure, and leak testing as required.

Service Inspection & Field Support – Inspect serviced, repaired, or rebuilt pneumatic and hydraulic systems prior to return to service; verify service work meets original design specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards; review service documentation, repair reports, and replacement parts for accuracy and compliance; support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis related to service returns or field‑reported issues; collaborate with service, engineering, and quality teams to identify recurring service‑related defects and improvement opportunities.

Blueprint & Documentation Review – Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and technical documentation; ensure inspection results are accurately documented and traceable per quality requirements; review work instructions, service procedures, and inspection plans to confirm alignment with design intent.

Quality Systems & Audits – Support and participate in internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards; identify nonconformances and assist in root‑cause analysis and corrective action activities; ensure compliance with established quality procedures, control plans, and documentation requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration – Work closely with manufacturing, service, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues; provide feedback on recurring defects, service failures, or process gaps and recommend improvements; support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, reliability, and service effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required

– Experience inspecting pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment; experience inspecting serviced, repaired, or rebuilt equipment; strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems; experience supporting or participating in internal quality audits; proficiency with precision measuring and inspection tools; strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Preferred

– Experience with hydraulic pressure testing and functional testing; familiarity with service, repair, and rebuild environments; experience using digital quality systems or inspection software; background in heavy equipment, rail, industrial machinery, or manufacturing environments.

What We’re Looking For A hands‑on inspector who understands how pneumatics and hydraulics perform over their full lifecycle—from initial build through service and repair—and who takes pride in preventing issues before they reach the field or return to operation.
