Job Description The Procurement Analyst is responsible for procuring IT products and services in the best interest of the state. This role supports agency-wide procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, contract analysis, and supplier selection for IT-related goods and services.
The position works independently under general supervision and supports procurement projects requiring research, analysis, negotiation support, and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Procure IT products and services including software, SaaS, hardware, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, and managed services
Evaluate vendors and contracts through RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs
Conduct market research and analyze vendor responses
Recommend supplier selections based on data and compliance
Support business units in procurement evaluations and negotiations
Ensure compliance with statewide procurement rules and financial principles
Prepare and present procurement-related reports
