State of Nebraska The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Central Intelligence Unit (CIU) seeks a highly skilled Intel Analyst for the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). The selected candidate will gather intelligence from multiple sources, produce intelligence products, support daily operations, and analyze trends and threats. Duties
Gather information from video reviews, phone calls, electronic messages, contraband cellphones, facility reports, and interviews. Create intelligence products to assist in safety and security decision-making; identify trends and threats. Enforce facility rules and regulations governing inmate/offender conduct. Document inmate/offender behavior, status, and movement; search persons, quarters, and work areas for contraband. Recommend improvements to security procedures; provide support to other facilities as needed. Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum: 18 years of age; high school education or equivalent; valid driver’s license; legally possess a firearm and ammunition. Preferred: One year corrections experience; experience gathering intelligence and conducting interviews in a prison setting; knowledge of street and prison gangs; experience preparing and interpreting statistical reports. Must pass medical exam, drug test, and completed NE Corrections Training Program. Possibility to work at other facilities as required. Other
Applicants should be prepared to pass pre‑employment exams: medical exam, randomly scheduled drug test, and NE Corrections Training Program covering CPR, first aid, firearms, and self‑defense tactics. Benefits
