About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant Head for Institutional Advancement to lead its comprehensive advancement program. This senior leadership role involves close partnership with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees to support the institution's mission and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising, alumni relations, and community engagement, with a central focus on guiding major philanthropic initiatives and campaigns. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, fundraising and development, marketing and communications, community and alumni engagement, and team leadership and management.
Candidates for this position at The Company should have a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years of advancement leadership experience, ideally in independent schools or large nonprofits. The role requires a proven track record in planning and executing capital campaigns, securing major gifts, and stewarding donor relationships. Experience in TK–12 school environments is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate strong team leadership and project management abilities. Proficiency with CRMs and a commitment to data-driven decision-making are essential. The role also demands a high level of integrity, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
