Tiger Team Technician II The Tiger Team Technician II is responsible for working with a small group of individuals in the day to day support of regional operations. This role is responsible for performing a variety of work including generator bearing exchange, up tower gearbox repairs, pitch ram exchange, yaw drive exchange, troubleshooting, training, and safety exercises. This job also maintains accountability and readiness of tools, equipment, and vehicles; provides technical guidance to the O&M team, maintains records of service activities; and helps maintain the work ethic and culture of the organization.
Role Responsibilities
Assure that all activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures established for the wind farm site. This includes wearing essential safety equipment, including a personal fall arrest system, as well as identifying potential hazards on the job.
Pass physical fitness tests required to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification while keeping one’s body weight under 270 lbs.
Climb wind towers daily, and access wind turbines to perform maintenance tasks
Lift, carry, and transport essential equipment, tools, and materials to job site
Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions when appropriate
Lead and/or conduct acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment following planned maintenance or outages
Perform safety and other wind farm related tasks when assigned and fill in as back up to personnel at other RWE sites when necessary
Perform turbine maintenance including services, major component, generator bearing, pitch ram, gearbox HSS/IMS, and shaft bearing exchange work. Additionally, perform software updates and troubleshooting as required.
Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time

Job Requirements and Experiences
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in Wind School and/or Mechanical degree preferred
Global Wind Organization Certificate preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience in Wind, Solar, and BESS
Alternatively 2 year or 4 year college degree from an accredited school (other than correspondence or on-line) in a technical science like engineering, physics, power, or closely similar; current journeyman or master electrician license
Unrestricted driver license in good standing
Willing to relocate to within 1 hour drive of site
Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
Physical Requirements
Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)
Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day
Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned
This position is a field-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
