The General Skilled Laborer is a super important role for AMI’s success, making sure everything is done right and safely across your assigned division—paving, milling, base & stone, and concrete. This is a fast-paced gig that needs a ton of energy, top-notch physical ability, and serious skills to handle all sorts of jobs on the fly.
Job Responsibilities
Adhere to all local, commercial, and DOT regulations while working.
Assist specialty crews, demonstrating a willingness to learn and cross-train in various roles.
Safely operate assigned heavy equipment, including company trucks, skid steers, pavers, rollers, milling machines, and graders.
Consistently comply with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
Immediately report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to a supervisor.
Participate in training sessions to continuously enhance professional skills.
Perform other duties assigned.
Skills Needed
Previous experience in paving, milling, or grading is highly preferred, but not required.
Ability to operate a skid steer is a plus.
Ability to Shovel/Lute preferred.
Valid Driver’s License.
Availability to work weekends.

Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Review
Drug screening
