Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide school nursing services in a high school setting. This contract position is onsite, running from the start date ASAP through June 26, 2026, with a schedule of 35 hours per week. The nurse will be responsible for managing the health needs of the entire school buildings student population. Key responsibilities include: Delivering direct nursing care and health assessments to students Developing and implementing individual health plans for students with special needs Collaborating with school staff, families, and healthcare providers Maintaining accurate health records and ensuring compliance with school policies Responding to emergencies and providing first aid as required Promoting health education and wellness programs within the school community Qualifications and experience: Active New Jersey RN license and certifications School-based nursing experience is essential (clinical experience alone will not meet requirements) Ability to manage a full high school caseload independently Successful completion of fingerprinting for agency and district clearance TB test and physical examination required prior to start Availability for in-person and/or Zoom interviews Must work onsite in Jersey City, NJ This role requires a nurse who can efficiently service an entire high school building, ensuring both routine and urgent health needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
