A Day in the Life Medtronic’s Tempe, Arizona location is looking for a day shift Technician III who will provide critical customer support on production‑impacting situations in a high‑paced, team‑oriented cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patients we serve and an unrelenting desire to improve our business. You will use your working knowledge of PWB micro‑electronics packaging manufacturing technologies and apply problem‑solving skills and pragmatic thinking.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format in a manufacturing clean‑room environment.

Analyzes data from multiple forms to determine the disposition of non‑conforming product.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Shift 12‑hour, 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

Nice to Have

Two‑year degree (certificate) in Electronic Technology or equivalent (vocational or technical college).

Electronic analysis instrument setup and operating experience.

Solder and assembly experience.

Familiarity with circuit board manufacturing.

Previous experience with LabVIEW.

DRM, Lean, or Six Sigma experience.

Good documentation practice.

Teamwork oriented.

Proficient computer skills.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $58,000.00 - $87,000.00. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
